Posh wannabe Chanelle leaves Big Brother
Victoria Beckham fan Chanelle Hayes today became the latest contestant to walk out of the Big Brother house.
The 19-year-old student from Wakefield, left the Channel 4 show after saying she was "not happy".
Her departure comes after Ziggy, with whom she had been having an on/off romance, ended the relationship.
In the early hours of this morning the former boyband member split up with Chanelle telling her: "It's not you, it's me."
Chanelle, who wants to be a professional Victoria Beckham look-a-like, left the house saying: "It's not a goodbye, it's a see you later."
So far the couple's tempestuous relationship has dominated the show and drawn criticism from other contestants.
The 26-year-old ex model and the Posh Spice wannabe got together within days of him entering the house.
At first the lovebirds were tolerated by their fellow housemates but soon their trysts began to grate on everyone else's nerves.
Last night was not the first time Ziggy called an end to the roller coaster love affair.
Rumours of Chanelle's flirtations with fellow Big Brother housemate Billi had him questioning their relationship early on in the saga.
Her decision to walk comes a day after the pair had yet another "make or break" chat, which ended with Chanelle declaring: "Obviously you're not happy, so don't talk to me again.
Earlier today Ziggy had tried to explain his decision to end the romance once and for all telling Liam: "I've never really been involved in something like this. She's up and down so much."
He confessed ruefully that he was worried he had ruined her time in the house.
Meanwhile Chanelle was announcing her decision to the rest of the housemates declaring through her tears: "I'm going home. I want to go home."
"How can you do this to us?" a stunned Gerry asked. Even the twins crying and pleading could not persuade her to stay.
After a round of emotional farewells Chanelle finally walked. "You have got to have your freedom," Gerry cried after her.
As for Ziggy, Chanelle's departure left him "feeling like s***," he said.
However all hope may not be lost as Chanelle was later called back to see the show's psychologists with Channel 4's website hinting that she may change her mind and return to the house.
