Nicole Richie jailed for driving on drugs

Nicole Richie today pleaded guilty in a court in Glendale, California to driving under the influence of drugs.

She was jailed for four days by a judge who said she was lucky nobody was killed when she drove the wrong way on a motorway.

Richie, who got credit for time served, was also given three years’ probation.

Paris Hilton, Richie’s co-star on the reality TV show, The Simple Life, was recently released after spending about 23 days in custody for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
