Spraoi festival launched

One of the country's brightest summer street festivals attracting up to 50,000 revellers every year will be launched today.

Spraoi will run for two days in Waterford from August 3 to 5 with a massive parade bringing the spectacle to a close.

This year’s theme will be Yee-haw!!!, a tribute to the old Wild West, featuring covered-wagons, stage coaches and an array of specially built full-scale western memorabilia.
