Rappers Ja Rule and Lil Wayne arrested

US rappers Ja Rule and Lil Wayne have been arrested on charges of carrying illegal .40 calibre guns, New York authorities said.

The top-selling hip-hop stars, whose latest song is named 'Uh Oh', were each arrested and charged last Sunday night with criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said. Ja Rule's real name is Jeff Atkins; Lil Wayne's is Dwayne Carter.
