A representative for Ashlee Simpson has quashed rumours she is engaged to Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz.

The pair began dating earlier this year, with gossip websites in the US alleging Wentz had proposed to the singer before his band's performance at the Live Earth event earlier this month.
