Queen Latifah to open burger joint

Queen Latifah is to open a FatBurger fast-food diner in Miami, Florida.

The rapper-turned-jazz singer and actress is one of the brains behind South Beach's new fast-food restaurant, and admits it has been her dream to get behind a FatBurger for years.

She says: "That was part of my LA education - on Sundays in California… everybody would come out… in all these low-riders (cars)… FatBurger was, like, the centrepiece for it all."

Latifah hopes to open her FatBurger franchise later this year.
