Teen comedy Popcorn ticks all the right boxes

Another teen comedy about boy falling for girl.

Simple plot, but Popcorn (Spark Pictures, €24.99) is genuinely funny.

Danny (Jack Ryder) is the Manga-loving boy, who is finally smitten by a real girl, Suki (Jodi Albert), only he has just one day to convince her he’s Mr Perfect.

When his plans go awry, he enlists the aid of Zac (Luke De Woolfson), and together they plan mission impossible.

Among the raft of extras are the obligatory making-of featurette, screen tests and two amusing podcasts on How to kiss a girl and The Joys of the F Word.

Enough said!
