Visnjic admits affair, agrees to paternity test

Married ER star Goran Visnjic has agreed to take a paternity test to see if he is the father of a Croatian woman's child.

Visnjic, who has been wed to sculptor Ivana Vrdoljak since 1999, has admitted to having an affair with Mirela Rupic, who filed paternity papers against him earlier this month after alleging the actor fathered her four-month-old daughter.

Visnjic claims he remembers nothing from his romantic encounter with Rupic, which took place last summer, because he was jetlagged and drunk.

But the 34-year-old has agreed to take a DNA test to determine whether he fathered Rupic's baby - and has agreed to pay child support if the girl is his.

However, Visnjic has no plans to seek custody of the child.

He tells Croatian magazine Story: "(The affair) is not something that I'm proud of, of course. But I am ready to accept all the consequences of my act."

He adds: "I was always against cheating. I still can't believe I did it."

Complicating matters further, Visnijc and his wife adopted a son, Tin, in April.
