Richards congratulates engaged Sheen

Actress Denise Richards has congratulated ex-husband Charlie Sheen after he announced his engagement to Brooke Mueller.

The former Bond girl filed for divorce from Sheen in 2005 after a turbulent marriage - but she insists she is thrilled with the news.

Richards - who has two daughters with the actor - says: "I am genuinely happy for the two of them. In fact, I sent them flowers to congratulate them both. I've spent time with her, and my girls really like her. That's all that matters to me."

Sheen and Mueller - a real estate agent - announced their engagement on Tuesday.

Richards split with her last boyfriend, rocker Richie Sambora, earlier this year.
