Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts is to release his debut album in 15 countries after becoming a global sensation.

The amateur opera singer won fans across the world with his appearance on the TV show.

More than 10 million people have watched clips of his performance on YouTube.

Now the former mobile phone salesman has signed deals to release his record in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Finland, Germany, Holland, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Ireland and the UK.

The album, One Chance, hits the shops here on July 16.

It includes Nessun Dorma, the song which Potts performed on the show.

“To have been given the opportunity to make an album of the songs I adore is such an honour. Music has been my passion throughout my life and to have the chance to share that is just incredible,” Potts said.

The 36-year-old signed a £1 million record deal with Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell after winning the ITV1 contest.

Movie bosses are also keen to put his story on the big screen.
