Jonathan toughs it out in BB house

The “Daddy” of Big Brother, Jonathan, has decided to tough it out in the house and not walk out on the show.

Contestants were struck dumb and moved to tears when the 49-year-old Londoner announced his imminent departure yesterday, but today he changed his mind and opted to stay.

The self-made millionaire, who runs a media agency, said yesterday he had been “reckless” to enter the house but said in the Diary Room today: “If you’ll have me, I’ll stay.”

Carole, who is up for the chop from the show in tomorrow night’s eviction, was delighted at his change of heart, giving him a big hug and laughing with joy.

She giggled: “This is so funny”, to which Jonathan replied: “It’s so pathetic.”

Carole then said: “Either we gotta suffer each other for another week or you’ve gotta suffer this lot for another week...

“... without you,” groaned Jonathan.

She, model Billi and self-proclaimed “raver” Tracey all face the boot in tomorrow’s eviction, which is the third of the series.

Ziggy has also confessed he would quite like to leave, after Charley once again proved to be the source of arguments in the house and called him a pervert.

She later claimed not to remember making the comment, saying it’s a “joking word” she uses with her friends, but former boyband member Ziggy was having none of it.

In the Diary Room, he requested to leave and described Charley as “very, very young” with “too much of a mouth on her”.

He added that someone else in the house had told him Charley was so aggressive because she had fancied him when he first arrived and said: “I would be disgusted if she liked me.”

Charley also bickered with Billi yesterday, who told her she was going to be the “most hated contestant ever” when she leaves the house.

She countered with a jibe about his teeth, to which he replied: “You look like a horse, mate” and sarcastically added: “Yeah, you’re a big star Charley, you’re a big star. You should have been on Celebrity Big Brother.”

Sam and Amanda provided some entertainment as they completed a “TwinTuition” task set by Big Brother to test whether they were linked telepathically – even though they didn’t know the meaning of the word.

Sitting in different rooms with telepathic hats – otherwise known as colanders - on their heads, they managed to both draw a house simultaneously and when Amanda was asked to draw a bearded man looking afraid, Sam said: “I’ve just seen Santa”.

When they realised they had drawn nearly the same things, Amanda screamed: “We are seriously connected!” Then, referring to the hats: “Oh my god! These things actually work!”

She later shouted out: “Ah! We’re psychopathic.”

Today the housemates managed to win a basic “non-slop” breakfast after Big Brother challenged them to come up with a song and perform it.

In half an hour, they had created their masterpiece – which had to contain a solo from each housemate.

It included the immortal lines: “I’m Amanda. Loves pink. I’m girly don’t ya think?” and “I’m Tracey, I’m a raver, I’m a hardcore cheesy quaver.”

Charley modestly came up with the lines: “I’m Charley, I’m hot, I’m everything you’re not” while Ziggy’s lines included “Great hair. The girls they love to stare”.

They won the task and received juice, tea bags, milk and cereal – and a single sausage, causing a row about how to divide it up.

Laura eventually took the practical option and simply cut it up into pieces so that every housemate could have a morsel.
