The original Hostel – a tale of horror in another of those places no local tourist board would recommend – was a decent enough chiller where three guys found themselves in a very bad situation, but now it’s three gals in the same screaming hell with sadistic torturers.

There’s nothing original about it – except the sex change – and there’s nothing terrifying about it. Nothing lifts the tired writing and plotting out of the ordinary.
