Hilton 'confused and terrified' when taken back to jail

Paris Hilton was confused and "had no idea what was going on" when she was readmitted to jail after the decision allowing her to complete her sentence under house arrest was reversed.

The socialite was at the centre of a media circus when police collected her from her West Hollywood home on June 8 to take her to a court hearing at which she was sent back to jail.

And in an interview with Larry King which aired on US TV yesterday, Hilton admitted she was "terrified".

She said: "Ten minutes before the police arrived I was yanked out of bed and handcuffed to take me back to the courthouse. I had no idea what was going on, I was terrified."

Hilton served 23 days of a 45-day sentence after being found guilty of violating her probation from a drink-driving arrest last year.
