The Verve reform
British rockers The Verve have reformed for a series of UK concerts later this year.
The Bittersweet Symphony band - Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Pete Salisbury - first split in 1995, before reuniting briefly in 1996, and then reforming again in 1997.
They last played together in 1999, although guitarist McCabe had quit the year before.
The Verve will play two gigs each in Glasgow, Scotland; Blackpool, England; and London in November.
A statement reveals the band's simple intent: "Getting back together for the joy of the music."
According to website NME.com, The Verve will return to the studio for their first album since 1997's Urban Hymns later this year.
