Love struggling to quit smoking

Courtney Love has declared a "mini-war" on herself as she struggles to follow doctor's orders and quit smoking.

The rocker was recently told she had to quit her bad habit by a medic who found nodules in her throat.

Love felt sure the battle to quit would be relatively easy, but, in a new posting on her website, she admits she's struggling.

She writes: "I'm going thru (sic) hell trying to cut back on smoking. I'm down to a pack a day from two, but it's a pain and each fight of the urge is a little mini war."

"(I'm) trying to get to half a pack a day and then quit when I get to 10 (cigarettes).

"I think of all I've been through and I can do this."
