Fans flock to see The Police in rusty form
Reformed rockers The Police brought Tennessee's Bonnaroo Festival to a standstill last Saturday night when almost every visitor to the four-day event checked out the group's show on the mainstage.
Vendors even temporarily closed food stalls at the Manchester festival - after realising no one would be visiting them during the much-anticipated set - and joined the fans.
The trio opened their 18-song hits set with 'Message in a Bottle', before performing 'Can't Stand Losing You', 'The Bed's Too Big Without You' and 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic'.
But, although the site of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland thrilled many, a handful of mistakes left the die-hards upset.
"They were good and it was great to see them at a festival, but it still seems they're working out a few little rough spots," said a fan.
