Cosby appeals for end to city violence

US comedian Bill Cosby asked parents and community elders to help stop the wave of violence that has rocked the American city of Philadelphia for more than a year.

Cosby spoke to a crowd of several hundred after joining an anti-violence group on an hour-long march yesterday.
