Actor Michael Madsen has hinted the upcoming sequel to 'Sin City' may never be made, after director Robert Rodriguez's recent film 'Grindhouse' failed to perform as well as expected.
Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's 'Grindhouse' double bill was a box-office disappointment in the US, and Madsen is now unsure whether the 'Sin City' follow-up will see the light of day.
He told website Premiere.com: "I haven't seen the script for 'Sin City 2'. I don't know if they are gonna make it. I hope they do. And if and when they do, I will be in it.
"They haven't shot it yet. I don't know if they ever will. I am not sure (about) the franchise. I think the 'Grindhouse' thing didn't kind of work out.
"The only reason I did it ('Sin City') was because Robert Rodriguez said that if I took that little part I would get a bigger role in the sequel, that Bob would have more to do in the sequel. So I said, 'Okay, fine'."
