Zak Lichman, 26, known as Ziggy, used to be in the cheesy pop band Northern Line with Dan Corsi.

The former pop star, who joined the show tonight, hopes to find romance in the Big Brother house.

But first, the music producer, promoter and model could make enemies as the only housemate who can nominate for eviction.

The new reality show twist was unveiled by Big Brother bosses today.

Ziggy says his friends would describe him as a "randy and-up-for-it ladies’ man".

If Ziggy could create a new law, it would be the introduction of a National Short Skirt Day.

Boyband Northern Line scored three top 20 hits with Run For Your Life, Love on the Northern Line and their last track All Around the World (2000).

Ziggy’s claim to fame is staying at Jennifer Lopez’s house while touring with the band in LA.

The model, from London, fronted a campaign for French Connection and was most recently plastered over a giant billboard in Times Square.

He says he will miss his dog while inside the house, as well as his best friend and his mother.

The Londoner says: "No one remembers those who come in second place. I’ve been taught to win."

Ziggy has been linked to Oil of Olay model Natasha Clancy, ex Hear’Say star Suzanne Shaw, Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton and Abi Titmuss.

Ziggy arrived in a suit and dark tie and was cheered into the Big Brother house. Inside, he was greeted with screams of delight by the female housemates.

He quickly cottoned on that he was only man in the house and described his entry into the house as "really surreal".

Summoned into the diary room, Ziggy thanked Big Brother for letting him be the first man into the house.

"It’s a wonderful, wonderful experience, I can’t tell you good this feels.

"I’m wondering if there’s any other guys coming in " I wouldn’t mind trying to lock the doors if that’s possible."

Ziggy was then given an envelope which explained he was the only housemate who could nominate for eviction next week.

"That means you all have to be very nice to me," he told the women after reading out the contents of the envelope.

Victoria Beckham fan Chanelle is the hot favourite to be the first female to kiss new housemate Ziggy, according to William Hill.

The bookies are offering odds of 5/2 on the 19-year-old singleton being the first woman to pucker up with the only man in the house, with twins Sam and Amanda in joint second place at 7/2.

As he made his entry into the Big Brother house, the bookies were offering odds of 7/1 that Ziggy would win the competition.
