Peter Gunn season one available on DVD

In the early days of RTÉ a pretty unusual show arrived on our screens.

Now out on DVD, Peter Gunn Season One (Liberation, €34.99), is a detective series in which the impeccably dressed Mr Gunn (Craig Stevens) dispatches baddies without appearing to ruffle his suit.

The show was created by Blake Edwards, with a striking theme tune by Henry Mancini. Indulge in a bit of nostalgia with these episodes (they run to 15 hours).
