Pirates sequel sets new world record

'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' has smashed the record for the biggest worldwide opening in history - the movie raked in a massive $401m (€298m) in its first six days of release.

The second sequel in the Walt Disney-made series has already broken box office records in the US for the best Memorial Day weekend debut, after making $142.1m (€105.8m).
