Prince plans a 'purple reign' in Hollywood

Prince is to planning to mark his upcoming 49th birthday with a seven-week residency at Hollywood party palace the Roosevelt Hotel.

The pop superstar, who dazzled Las Vegas with a string of regular shows late last year, is hoping to perform for stars, VIPs and fans for seven consecutive Friday nights starting on June 15.
