Hilton confirms: 'I'm dropping sentence appeal'

Socialite Paris Hilton has confirmed reports she is halting plans to appeal her 45-day jail sentence for violating her probation for driving on a suspended license.

Hilton was found driving on a suspended license in February, following her 2006 conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol.
