Amy Winehouse married her fiancé Blake Fielder-Civil in a secret Miami Beach, Florida ceremony on Friday.

The 'Rehab' singer laughed off reports she would be exchanging vows this weekend in a UK newspaper last week - but the tabloid was right all along.

Winehouse's representative has confirmed the marriage, stating: "Amy Winehouse did get married to fiancé Blake Fielder-Civil this morning in a very private, intimate ceremony. They are very happy."

The 23-year-old singer and her new husband, 24, celebrated their union at Miami's exclusive Shore Club.

The couple became engaged last month after Winehouse took a day to consider her boyfriend's proposal.

In a recent interview she said: "Obviously we are both young and it is frightening. But it is the right thing to do. That is why I agreed.

"I'm a very lucky girl to have found someone I love so much. I hope to be with him for the rest of my life."

The couple met in 2005, but split in 2006.
