Fast Food Nation is hard to swallow

Unlike the following film this episodic plotline affair doesn’t work since the handful of stories never quite connect.

Kinnear plays a food chain marketing man who is sent by his bosses to check out a supplier who might be delivering questionable meat, Valderrama finds herself working at one of the food chain outlets, as does Johnson.

Alas, characters with such a close connection never seem to impact on one another, nor are they characters we feel any sympathy for in a sort-of docu-style movie that goes nowhere in particular.
