Brown to take Murphy to court for paternity test

Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown is taking her ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy to court to force him to take a paternity test.

Brown was left stunned when the Beverly Hills Cop actor publicly ended their relationship on a Dutch TV show in December, when she was five months pregnant with daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

On the show, Murphy said: "I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test."

However, Brown claims she has been unable to get in contact with Murphy since her baby was born last month, so she is now taking legal action.

She says: "He's not doing a DNA test and he's not signing the birth certificate. So it's going to have to go to court so he can be forced to do it, which is strange since he was the one asking for it."
