Monkeys enter US chart at number seven
The Arctic Monkeys have gone straight into the US chart at number seven with their album Favourite Worst Nightmare.
They sold 44,000 copies of their second album - surpassing the 34,000 first-week sales of their first record, which peaked at number 24 last year. The quartet have recently been touring the US, including an appearance at California's Coachella Festival.
Their US success follows a number of UK acts who have made an impact on the US charts.
Joss Stone made her debut at number two with album 'Introducing Joss Stone' last month, while Corrine Bailey Rae reached number four and Amy Winehouse peaked at seven.
