Baldwin asks Dr Phil for help

Actor Alec Baldwin has sought therapy sessions with TV physiologist Dr Phil McGraw after his outburst at his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland.

Baldwin has divided public opinion after the voicemail, in which he verbally chastises Ireland and calls his ex-wife Basinger "a thoughtless pain in the ass", was leaked on the internet last week.

McGraw has shared a "far-reaching, intense conversation" with The Departed star, who has also "reached out privately to Basinger," reports the New York Post.
