War drama Black Book is utterly compelling
PAUL VERHOEVEN ditches his RoboCop past with Black Book (Tartan, €24.99), a remarkable war drama which finds the beautiful Rachel Stein (Carice van Houten) as the survivor of a Nazi massacre which has wiped out her family.
She is recruited as a double agent by the Dutch resistance. Asked to seduce Müntze (Sebastian Koch), she soon finds herself caught in dangerous game of betrayal, with twists at every turn.
