Bryan Adams 'banned from Diana gig'
Singer Bryan Adams has reportedly been barred from performing at the memorial concert for Diana, Princess of Wales, for fear of sparking a media frenzy.
The veteran rocker enjoyed a secret fling with the British princess more than a decade ago - which only became public after her death in a Paris car crash in 1997.
Young princes William and Harry have now reportedly banned Adams from appearing at the event to ensure that gossip does not overshadow the huge concert.
A source tells British newspaper The People: "The princes have nothing against Bryan Adams… But they want the concert to be free of any innuendo or tittle-tattle. It was decided that it would be inappropriate for Adams to appear."
A spokesman for Adams confirmed the singer will not be performing at the gig later this year.
