Coyle blames Metcalfe's jealousy for split

Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has dismissed reports she ended her romance with actor Jesse Metcalfe after he was photographed with a mystery brunette last week, insisting she dumped him because he was jealous of her success.

The Desperate Housewives star, who has just finished a month-long stint in rehab for "alcohol issues", was photographed holding hands and cuddling a young woman at popular Los Angeles café Toast.

LA-based Metcalfe and Irish pop star Coyle have been conducting a long-distance relationship since meeting in Australia in February 2006.

However, a source tells British newspaper the News of the World: "Nadine dumped Jesse because he's a complete control freak.

"She was fed up of his jealous rages and after thinking long and hard decided to get rid of him... He would cause huge rows."
