Gerald Durrell’s naturalist writings endeared him to a large audience and now you can enjoy My Family & Other Animals (Classic TV, €22.99), based on his humorous autobiography.

Set in the 1930s, Durell’s (Eugene Simon) commune with nature starts when his family swap a damp England for the delights of Corfu. Imelda Staunton is impressive as his mother.
