War time series on DVD

Foyle’s War (Acorn, €24.99) is an above average wartime series from the pen of Midsomer Murders’creator Anthony Horowitz.

Fans of that series will know what to expect, but for those unfamiliar with it, take my word for it, this is a well written and acted series.

Michael Kitchen is superb as Det Chief Supt Foyle, and the two episodes featured here are quite entertaining.

Kitchen provides an introduction to the title, while there’s also a behind the scenes documentary.
