Busy times for singer and former Britney Spears squeeze Justin Timberlake, this is one of three new films. And he turns in an above-average performance of gritty power.

The film is based on the true story of Frankie Ballenbacher who was listed as the youngest Most Wanted on the FBI list in the late l990s who got caught up in a deadly kidnapping following a botched drug deal.

It’s a dark and disturbing drama played out against a background of rich youngsters with nothing in their lives that comes closed to being worthwhile.

Cassavetes, son of famed indie director and actor John, doesn’t flinch from painting a depressing picture of lost Californian youth and turns this into a compelling drama.
