Blind Faith
The Reaping
Stephen Hopkins
Hilary Swank, Stephen Rea, David Morrissey
Even with Oscar winner Swank and that fine Irish actor Rea in this horror film it still manages to be no better than run-of-the-mill average.
Maybe we’ve had so many formula films of this kind to be impressed by another that simply lacks originality and throws the standard list of shocks in our direction.
The plot involves the test of faith of a young woman when an investigative priest – Swank and Rea – come across a small town being visited by what seems like the 10 Biblical Plagues.
It’s not downright forgettable, it’s just not quite memorable enough. You’ve already been there and seen it.
