Little Boy Lost

We all know by now, don’t we, that the Vikings discovered America before Columbus? So we have here a tale of a young Viking boy left behind with the natives by his companions. In time the little lad leads his new companions in a battle against more Norse invaders.
We also know by now, don’t we, that Viking helmets didn’t have horns, but the makers of this awful film left them in anyway. Sort of sums up the general thinking behind a poorly written, directed and acted affair.
OK, so the battle scenes are passable and, as is often the case, there’s a better story to be told from that faraway era … but this doesn’t come close.
