Middleton waxwork dumped after split

London waxwork museum Madame Tussauds have ditched plans for a Kate Middleton likeness following her high-profile split with British royal Prince William.

Museum bosses were discussing creating a waxwork of the 25-year-old brunette amid engagement rumours between the couple earlier this year, but following the weekend's announcement of their split, the plans were dumped.

A Tussauds spokesman said: "We were in the early stages of planning Kate's figure off the back of thousands of visitor requests.

"We had literally stacks of inquiring emails and letters about Kate. Tussauds is disappointed to hear of the break-up."
