Lady Sovereign axes tour

British rapper Lady Sovereign has scrapped the remaining dates of her UK tour after failing to recover from exhaustion.

The 21-year-old last week pulled out of the opening dates so she could recover after spending a tiring 18 months on the road, promoting her music.

She was due onstage in London on Friday but has failed to recover and today brought the tour to a close.

A statement read: "She is very disappointed at missing these shows but is bed-ridden following 18 months of intense touring and promoting, and requires time for treatment and recuperation."
