Lavinge denies attack on Britney

Avril Lavigne has furiously denied blaming pop rival Britney Spears' recent breakdown on a weak character.

The 'Sk8er Boi' star was quoted in British newspaper The Sun dismissing Spears' headline-grabbing spells in rehab and her bizarre hair-shaving episode earlier this year as examples of celebrities who cannot control their fame.
