'Time to kill off Sopranos': Imperioli
The time has come for The Sopranos to be killed off. And actor Michael Imperioli is ready for the end.
The 41-year-old actor returns as Christopher Moltisanti for the final season of the award-winning mob drama, which starts on Sunday night in the United States.
âI love the show,â Imperioli told AP Radio in a recent interview. âItâs gonna be sad to leave it. I think the timing is right to end it.â
âI would like to end it in the psychiatric hospital with Uncle Junior,â he joked.
âItâs probably gonna end, I would imagine, not the way people expect.â
Imperioli said he hopes Tony Soprano, played by James Gandolfini, wonât allow Christopher to take over as mob boss.
âIf it ends with me as the boss then whatâs the point, itâs over, right? Then I donât get to enjoy it,â he laughed.
âI donât have any desires in that how ends. I mean, I know however itâs going to end, itâs going to be interesting and appropriate.â
He said it would be funny if Christopherâs fiancee, Adriana La Cerva (Drea de Matteo), got revenge on him.
âMaybe (she) comes from beyond the grave, makes him a zombie and brings him to the netherworld. I donât know, I always thought he could be killed by Adriana but thatâs not gonna happen,â he said.
