CENSORSHIP rears its ugly head in This Film is Not Yet Rated (Lionsgate, €24.99), a withering look at the Motion Picture Association of America’s notoriously secretive work.

Kirby Dick lifts the lid on the double standards employed over violent and sexual scenes, the treatment of gay sex, etc.

Dick looks at the people who make the decisions, asks tough questions, and even employs a private detective to uncover some facts.

Featuring a host of interviews with film directors, there are also some amazing clips to illustrate the hypocrisy at the heart of the MPAA’s operations. Recommended.
