A comedy that does manage to raise a lot of smiles simply because it’s daft. It also helps that Ferrell is in fine form.

Two deadly figure skating rivals – Ferrell and Heder – having been banned for fighting while winning a shared Olympic gold medal are brought together for the unlikely formation of the world’s first male doubles partnership.

Their pairing, accompanied by lots of laughs built, obviously, on the picture of two men in flashy costumes skating together, comes with a rivalry that extends to their competition.

It’s silly but it’s a lot of fun.
