Stars celebrate Coleen McLoughlin's 21st

Celebrities are expected to descend upon a leafy village today for the 21st birthday party of Coleen McLoughlin.

The fiancee of Manchester United and England footballer Wayne Rooney is holding her circus-themed party in the grounds of Thornton Hall, in Wirral, Merseyside.

A giant marquee and mini-funfair have been erected in the garden of the 100-acre estate, which is the former home of soap magnate William Hesketh Lever.

Among the VIPs rumoured to be attending are P Diddy, David and Victoria Beckham, Girls Aloud and the England football team.

Tight security has been put in place around the hall ahead of the event – the rights to which have reportedly been sold exclusively to a magazine.

The party is a far cry from the Wag’s 18th birthday party which was held in the function room of the Devonshire House Hotel, in Liverpool.

Guests were treated to a low-key buffet, including cheese sandwiches, sausage rolls and curry and rice, and entertained by a DJ.

The night ended with the police being called after a scuffle reportedly broke out between guests.
