A film, strong on storytelling, about fitting into a strange culture.

The story concerns a Bengali family who move from India to New York and the problems the American-born son has in finding his place in the Big Apple hampered as he is by the family’s strict traditional ways.

Conflict lies at the heart of what is a solidly-told tale. The film, with its Indian influence, looks absolutely terrific.
