Happy Feet is great fun

Happy Feet (Warner, €24.99) is one of the best animation films I have seen.

No, it’s not just because we have a cute bunch of penguins on view, nor the excellent actors behind the voices — Elijah Wood, Nicole Kidman, Brittany Murphy and Hugh Jackman to name a few — but it’s very well scripted, superbly directed by George Miller and has great musical numbers and some stunning CGI animation.

Mumble (Wood) is a tap-dancing penguin who finds himself ostracised and then blamed for a fish famine. Thus begins his quest to clear his name.

Along his journey he meets some really cool dudes, and learns a lot about himself. Great fun.
