Phillippe and Simpson hook up?

Ryan Phillippe has allegedly spent the night with Ashlee Simpson.

The Crash star - who split from wife of seven years Reese Witherspoon last October - recently met the 22-year-old singer at hip Los Angeles nightclub Les Deux before spending the night at Ashlee's home, it has been claimed.

After flirting for hours, onlookers claim the couple disappeared to a private area upstairs in the club at around 2am.

A source said: "They were up there for over an hour and came back looking dishevelled. We knew something went on".

Ryan's representative has denied the allegations. He said: "Ryan does not know Ashlee aside from a brief introduction".
