Madonna planning New York move to be near ill dad

Madonna is reportedly moving her family from London to New York to be nearer her cancer-stricken father.

The Material Girl - who settled in England after marrying film director Guy Ritchie in 2000 - has recently being spotted viewing luxurious mansions in Manhattan.

Sources claim Madonna wants a home relatively near her dad Tony Ciccone as he battles cancer in Leelanau County Hospital in Michigan.

An insider tells British newspaper The Sun: "Madonna, Guy and the kids are definitely moving to New York this year (07). The deal is to spend as much time there as in London - if not more."
