BBC boss denies Eurosong mix-up was Wogan's fault
The director general of the BBC is trying to make light of last night's blunder when two acts were announced as the winner of Britain's 'Eurosong' competition.
Foursome 'Scooch' will represent the UK in May's Eurovision but there was confusion in the studio when hosts Terry Wogan and Fearne Cotton got their wires crossed over the phone vote.
BBC boss Mark Thompson said he thought they were trying so hard to get the phones right that something else must have gone wrong.
But he said he was sure it wasn't Terry Wogan's fault.
