Dance must be one of the fastest-growing art forms in the world: OK, so it’s always been so, but given the number of films based on stepping out in style you get the meaning.

The plots of most of these films are much the same: unlikely character finds redemption via the shaking of a leg.

Here we find ourselves with a troubled youth whose dance ability becomes the subject of a rivalry between competing contestant groups for a top prize.

Yes, you’ve seen it all before!

Dance fans might find it enjoyable but others won’t have much to enthuse about.
