Factory Girl has little to offer

Bring together a cast of clearly unlikeable characters – artist Andy Warhol (Pearce), his self-centered girlfriend Edie Sedgwick (Miller) and various vapid hangers-on – and you have a film that has little to offer.
Fifteen minutes of fame was on offer to all of us in the hedonistic sixties but you get to thinking none of the people portrayed in this disappointing film deserved even a passing second.
Miller does her best to breath life into Sedgwick – who entranced Warhol so much he cast her in many of his so-called films – but she remains a lightweight actress more famous for what she does off-screen than on-screen.
There is a stronger case than this manages to be to be made for a truthful, more penetrating account of Warhol’s life and times.
